Shane Bourke, the ‘Irish Impact’ member asked me to place this document and info onto the board for all to see. Shane said: "I haven’t been on the forum for a while but found some time yesterday to have a look. I always enjoy seeing what is happening with other members etc. and their H25’s. Attached is a brief article I scanned in from a book I received way back in 1983 called – ‘The Observer’s Book of Sailing Craft of Australia and New Zealand’ by Peter Campbell, published in 1979. This book is kind of bible of all the different sailing craft that were on the market at that time, with a brief description and specifications. It’s excellent and I always wish there had been further editions printed over time. Anyway, the pages I have scanned focus on the Holland range of yachts, with the Holland 25 called ‘Safrana’. I have no idea where Safrana is now, I am guessing she is one of those earlier Hollands who has had a name change. In the blurb about the Holland 25, of particular note was the mention it had a Victorian Quarter Ton title to its credit – that boat was of course was Irish Impact! " Attachments:
