HOLLAND 25 - Mystique FOR SALE $7,500 at Paynesville, Victoria.
On Tradeaboat for further photos
This is a fixed deep keel, masthead rig is lowered for better stability in most conditions. Hull soda-blasted, 5 coats epoxy, Topsides repainted and deck painted, keel lifting point (through deck holes) & antifoul 2008 -9. New mast and rigging 2008, furling jib Jib 2016, Main 2017. Modifications to allow a wheelchair-using skipper were done in Paynesville from 2012-13 with Hydrive hydraulic steering and swing seat installed. Modifications designed by owner and built to enable someone with limited mobility to steer the boat and change sides when they tack, while remaining seated.
Yamaha 9.9HP outboard fitted 2016, with electric start, forward controls and custom remote tilt mount created from stainless steel that is lifted, locked by cable and rope.
Seat rotates around steering wheel post to be on side deck and under boom. I'm a Complete C6 quad and a portable hoist on the boom is used to lift me on/off. The seat swings from side to side as we tack. I adjust the amount of swing before taking off by ropes. In heavy weather, about 45 degrees swing each way, puts me on the downwind side, leaning back more, due to the design. This gives me plenty of stability, as a complete C6 quadriplegic, and a good view of sails and track ahead, under the sails. In lighter weather I don't have as much swing. Seat swings right around to get in/out lifting from boom with mobile hoist.
Engineered central lifting point with two screw-out hatches to allow direct lifting, so could be located on handstand. No trailer or handstand frame.
All this allowed owner years of club racing. Owner is a C6 quadriplegic, but selling due to no longer using it. Hoping it goes to a sailor with physical limitations. Needs some cleaning and some work. Bottom not antifouled for four years but OK.
