On my Holland, it's powered by a Yanmar 8HP. The gear box attaches to the engine foreward. There's three drive belts coming off the gearbox that drive the prop shaft. The belts need replacing. The prop shaft needs to be moved forward towards the stern, in order to get the new belts on to the pulley. Does anyone have any experience with doing this? Thanks Graham

Hi Graham............this is not a standard engine installation for H25 - not one of our factory fitted engines.......in fact never heard of a belt drive prop shaft.... sounds like a backyard installation. Any Yanmar installed were standard driveshaft to flange on rear of gearbox

Hi Graham, by the pic I assume the bottom pulley is to close to the engine to get the new belts passed? It's hard to tell but if so could you use a small bottle/scissor jack well braced and jack the motor forward flexing the mounts, you'd only need about 10mm then push the bolts passed the bottom pulley one at time with a blunt screwdriver or tyre lever or something then remove jack and fit to top pulley.
