Photo from Doug Sharpin's Archives. This was a plywood decked 25 footer of H25 hull that Doug altered the design to create the cabin top we know so well. There were other plywood top H25s as the most basic kit was just the hull for home builders to build as they wanted. Attachments:

"The Sting" was a cedar,strip planked, epoxy & glass sheathed West system boat built in Browns Bay New Zealand and from same plans as our H25 - indeed the deck is the same high camber as this racing type but the H25 had the addition of actually a Sunmaid cabin moulding spread out a bit wider (Sunmaids were also moulded by Bolwell Fibreglass and Doug made some 200 masts for them while still Sales/Export Mgr of Ronstans) The Sting predated the similar J24, imported by Rob Mundle (now Commodore, Southport YC) who was the H25 Sydney agent I believe The Sting made a name for winning races on Auckland harbour with Farr 727's and J24's with a hot crew.
